Greetings and welcome to the Compositor download page. Thank you for your interest.
Compositor is offered as a fully functional 30 day demo. After 30 days, the app is constrained to 2 open images at a time, and 4 runs of the actions per session. Saving and printing will become disabled. If you have downloaded a previous version (prior to the current version),
running this application will reset your demo time and give you another full 30 days.
If you use the program often and like it, please register and support
shareware. If you don't like Compositor for
some reason, or would otherwise register it were it not for some
reason, please email us here and tell us why. Information is always
good, negative or positive. Beats hearing nothing at all and wondering.
Brief History of Recent Changes:
v2.9.9 for OS X is the most current version of Compositor. Now with great new features such as History and Snapshots Release Notes
v2.7.2C for OS 9 brings the classic version to the OS X version's feature level, if CarbonLib is available. NOTE: This version is for OS 9-9.x.x only and is unlikely to be updated further.
v2.5.3 is the current older OS version, for systems without CarbonLib (OS 8.1 + ) It will not be updated.

Version 2.9.9 for OS X, 2.7.2C for CarbonLib OS 9, and v2.5.3 for Classic are a free upgrades to all prior registered users. If you have any problems entering your old code, let me know via email.
System Requirements for Compositor OS X:
OS X 10.2.2 or higher
2 gigabytes free disk space must be available for History and Snapshots operation, beyond any system needs
Quicktime 6.0 or higher
Millions of Colors Monitor Display
Panther requires Compositor 2.5.2 or higher. Tiger requires Compositor v2.9.0 or higher.
System Requirements for Compositor OS 9 version :
OS 9 to 9.2.2, etc, Quicktime 4 or higher, 48 MB RAM Minimum, 96MB or more Recommended,Thousands or Millions of Colors (Millions is best)
System Requirements for Compositor Classic versions:
PPC Macintosh
OS 8 or higher recommended. Tested on OS 8, 8.6, 9.x.x, Classic in OS X
Works fine in X Classic from Jaguar on up.
Quicktime 4.0 or higher (v3.0 may work, but limits some functions)
Thousands or Millions of Colors (Millions is best)
Minimum RAM: 24MB Best : 48MB and Higher
Some operations will require 4 times the image size in RAM, plus some for the Application and Quicktime. Compositor uses multiple image buffers for speed. RAM is Compositor's spinach.
ALL Versions:
800 x 600 minimum resolution is recommended. OS X : 1024 x 768
Free Disk Space is required for Temporary files, actual amount depends on Image Size, typically 3-5 times the size of all open images.
